Charles Collins, Organist

Organ Recital, Saturday August 26, 2023

Charles Collins is organist at First Presbyterian Church Three Rivers/Centreville in Three
Rivers, Michigan. There he accompanies worship on a magnificent Klais tracker organ from
Berlin, Germany. Previously, he was organist/choir director at St. John’s Episcopal Church in
Sturgis, Michigan from 2012 to 2022.


For 23 years, Charles called St. Louis home. He completed a Masters degree in piano
performance at Webster University in 1993. He was affiliated with a number of churches and
schools during his time in St. Louis, including: St. Paul UCC (1990-1995), Second
Presbyterian Church (1995-2007), Trinity Lutheran-Chesterfield (2008-2012), Central
Reformed Congregation, Blackburn College, Missouri Baptist University and Parkway
Schools.


Charles is an avid gardener, reader and cook. Travel is a special passion and he visits
Finland with regularity, perhaps 12 times since being a student there 43 years ago. He is a
member of the Southwest Michigan Chapter of the American Guild of Organists.
